Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)

  1. Can your baseboard heater covers be cut? Can I order special custom lengths?
Yes. We realize that some homes have baseboard heaters that have previously been cut to fit a particular space. We will cut any standard length baseboard panel (BB001-XX) to your custom size(s). There is NO EXTRA CHARGE for factory custom cuts.To order a special length baseboard panel, simply order the next standard size up and e-mail us after your order has been placed on-line and include the PayPal order reference number. An Order Acknowledgement will be sent to confirm all custom length panels.
  2. I have electric baseboard heaters. Will your standard profile fit on my heaters?
In the vast majority of cases, no. Our product is designed for hydronic (hot water) baseboard heaters. Electric baseboard heaters are easily replaced with complete new units. Our standard profile is designed to correspond with over 85% of all hydronic baseboard heaters currently installed throughout North America.
Yes. If you require a custom length, just order the next standard size up and then include a note where it says "Enter any CUSTOM CUT LENGTH instructions" at the final stage of the check-out.
  3. I am concerned about my young child getting a burn from touching the existing baseboard heater covers. Does your product prevent burns?
No. In fact, hydronic baseboard heater covers of all makes and models are typically only very warm to the touch. It is highly unlikely that human skin could receive any degree of burns by just touching the metal covers installed over hydronic finned tube element heaters. The key to our child safe design is the lack of any open spaces to access the hot finned tube element. Directly touching the hot Aluminum fins or copper pipe could result in a burn.
  4. Does your perforated steel baseboard panel allow for the "chimney effect" to properly heat the room?
Yes. By maintaining a gap (will vary in height depending on the original baseboard heater being retrofitted) at the floor the cool air currents within the room will freely pass through the bottom of the finned tube element and exit out of the numerous baseboard perforations.
  5. What makes your product so unique? Why should I invest in your baseboard heater cover renovation solution?
The simple answer is labor. Our solution has one major difference over all the rest; there is a near zero labor component to our slip on design. Most other solutions require the removal and reattachment of the back cover to the wall; a solution that usually involves cutting nails, patching drywall and many hours of work.
  6. I live in Canada. Do I have to pay in $USD?
No. To convenience our Canadian Customers, we offer the same web pricing at par with the Canadian Dollar. Only orders shipped to a Canadian address will be accepted in $CAD. To place an order, e-mail us with your order specifics. An invoice payable in Canadian Dollars will be forwarded via PayPal.
  7. Will your baseboard heater covers rust?
No, but in the distant future, yes. Every piece of metal on our planet will eventually return to the earth no matter what kind of finish is applied to it. It is a law of nature. Our perforated steel covers are first electroplated with a galvanized treatment followed by an epoxy powder coat application. These efforts have been made to ensure our product will not show any signs of rust in our lifetime regardless of what environment they are placed in.
